Quick auction check: eep. Four minutes to go, and I'm still the highest bidder. Do I make a big jump on my maximum bid, or just hope that everyone else has given up?
Quick auction check: Three minutes to go, and it's still me. My heart is racing. Ha! I'm making myself laugh!
Do I look again? Two minutes... still me! I think I'll increase my maximum bid. This is killing me.
Oh crap. I can't stand this. Does anyone else get so worked up over bidding on ebay???
lol I won!! Ha! I'm sure I paid more than I should of, but hey.... I'll post a picture when it arrives.
:o)
The image I've used for this post is totally unrelated, but I like to havce some sort of picture... I have been using these buttons on some skirts I've been making. They're lovely, earthy, and handmade.

I'm exactly the same (which is why I never gamble). I wait until the last 30 seconds to bid and try to to blow them out of the water!
I used to be a five second expert !
The adrenalin levels are insane (as far as non-sporty not putting your life in danger types things go).
I always get nervous... and excited, but I wait with my bid until the last 30 seconds as well...
glad you won...I had my fingers crossed!!
I love the button. I'm not a good ebayer or gambler. I don't like uncertainty about things I desperately need to have in my life... like fabric I've fallen in love with.
Ah I'm another one who places the first bid in the last 30 seconds. Its guaranteed to put your heart in your mouth.
Congratulations on getting your fabric!
i love the wood button - i'm a HUGE fan of anything made of wood and wood buttons are high on the list.
you know, i tried making a purchase on e-bay and the bidding got too crazy for me, especially since there was more than one of this particular item up for auction! it was a dvd of "Wuthering Heights" (with Laurence Olivier) and i got it with less anxiety at amazon =-)
guess i'd better not attend any "real time" auctions in future!
Tee hee. No, I am very good at letting it go.
Ooooh. I used to do that a bit more on ebay, but recently I've learned to have a good think about the top dollar I would willingly pay for something, stick that bid in, then walk away. I've still won most things... which I think means that I am too willing to pay lots of $$ for things and I'm not much of a bargain hunter!
I'd paid a ridiculous amount of money for some buttons earlier this year. I did love the excitement of it though.
Totally the same with ebay - what a great sport!
